Cleaning MacBook Keyboard

Cleaning MacBook Keyboard is a Pain in the A$$

Maintaining a MacBook keyboard can feel oddly difficult. The keys are like insomniac guards, always on alert, never taking a break. Seriously, shut the MacBook down, and those keys spring to life at the slightest touch.

I’m not sure whose idea that was, but hey, it’s a feature, right?

I totally get the pain of this when you’re gearing up for a battle against the crumbs and dust on your MacBook.

So, here’s the plan –

Download KeyboardCleanTool.

It’s tiny (just 827 KB), lightweight, and doesn’t require installation. Just open it, enable the required Accessibility permission so it can control keyboard input, and you’re good to go.

Once hit the magic button that says “Click to start cleaning mode / lock the keyboard!” and voilà, you can tap dance on those keys and they won’t flinch until you tell them to wake up with a click of the mouse.

No drama. No accidental key presses. Just a clean keyboard and a little peace of mind.

If my ramblings lost you, there’s a video to guide you through –

Happy Cleaning! May your MacBook emerge victorious and crumb-free!
